General Information
MBBR Technology is based on the bio-film system and is used for biological wastewater treatment in terms of both aerated and anoxic conditions. The technology utilizes the advantages of both activated sludge and other types of bio-film systems such as bio-filter and avoids their disadvantages.
Technical Description
JunYue TM MBBR Carrier have slightly smaller specific weight than water and by the growing of the attached bio-film, the specific weight will become bigger which makes the carriers suspended in the wastewater. The carriers are designed to provide a large protected surface area for the bio-film and optimal conditions for the bacteria culture. Generally, the surface area per m3 of carriers is greater than 500 m2.
Applications
JunYue’s MBBR carriers are particularly efficient for the removal of BOD, nitrogen and ammonia. Typically, the products can be used for:
- BOD/COD removal related plants
- Nitrogen removal related plants
- Technical upgrade of existing plants
