The scraper conveyor adopts a continuous driven chain circuit equipped with regularly spaced cross members. The chain travels through a channel preventing the material from falling off the conveyor, while the cross members scrap them forward to the discharge or service point. The scraper conveyor is ideal for slower transportation speeds and mainly used for coarse material such as clay, raw coal, flour and cement. It can be either flat or incline according to different circumstances and is applicable in the area of mining, metallurgy and light industries with advantages as following.

The scraper conveyor has three different types: horizontal, angled and Z-shaped.
- Horizontal scraper conveyor (SMS type):
- Angled scraper conveyor (QMS type): adjustable lifting heights and inclined angles.
- Z-shaped scraper conveyor (ZMS type): multiple discharge points, adjustable lifting heights and inclined angles.
